Church Leadership

Our Pastors

Brett Lutz

Lead Pastor

Pastor Brett came to Generations Church of Peyton in April of 2022.   He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Bible and Theology and a Master of Arts degree in Organizational Leadership from Clarks Summit University of Pennsylvania. He also has a Master of Divinity Degree in Great Commission Studies from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. Pastor Brett was ordained into the ministry as a Pastor on March 20, 2022 at Hurstbourne Baptist Church in Louisville, KY.

Pastor Brett surrendered his life to God, through faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, in July of 2007, while at a Student Life camp at Wheaton Bible College in Wheaton, IL. Having grown up in a Christian home, Pastor Brett knew the right answers, but it was not until the age of 16 that he realized the Spirit working in him, to draw him to God and saving faith in Jesus Christ. Since then, Pastor Brett has had a thirst for the Word of God, studying, teaching and preaching it, all for and to the glory of God!

Pastor Brett and his wife, Stephenie, have roots in Colorado and are excited to be back in Colorful Colorado and serving in the Peyton community. He has a passion for  expository preaching of the Bible and for reaching the greater Peyton community for Jesus Christ. Pastor Brett is eager to get to know you and be an encouragement in your personal journey with Jesus Christ.

Rev. Dr. John Walls

Pastor John Walls joined the staff of Generations Church at the beginning of February, 2023. He has been faithfully serving in pastoral ministry since 1969; therefore, he brings over four decades of pastoral experience.  Pastor John holds a Bachelor of Arts in Bible & Theology from Ohio Christian University, a Master of Arts in Pastoral Psychology & Counseling (Clinically trained) from Ashland Theological Seminary, a Master of Divinity from United Seminary, and a Doctorate of Ministry in Church Management from Trinity International University.

Pastor John was saved in a revival meeting, in his home church in southern Ohio, October 20, 1968. Almost immediately, Pastor John felt God’s call to preach. Both his maternal and paternal grandfathers were ordained preachers in the Ohio Christian Union Denomination, and even though he dearly loved them both, he had no desire to ever be a preacher! He understood, though, it wasn’t HIM having this desire to preach the Word of God, but the Holy Spirit doing a new work in him.

Pastor John took his first pastorate in November, 1969 and have tried to faithfully fulfill his calling throughout the years to come. He has been blessed to serve six growing churches until he officially “retired” in 2012. Generations Church is his third church to serve in as an associate pastor since retiring. He loves working with younger pastors, and doing all that he can to enhance and enrich their ministry. Pastor John's desire is to help Pastor Brett become a more effective preacher, pastor and leader so that our church can have a greater impact and influence in the Peyton community!
